Allen McPheeters grew up in eastern Washington, in Spokane, Omak, Kennewick, and Republic. After graduating at the top of his class from Republic High School, he went to Purdue University and the University of Washington before leaving college to make computer games. His career in games was highlighted by the Front Page Sports series, which he co-designed, and which won numerous awards, including induction into the Computer Gaming World Hall of Fame for Front Page Sports: Football PRO. Since 2006, Allen has worked for a consulting firm that creates and customizes business intelligence software for large law firms.
Allen’s politics lie somewhere between conservative and libertarian. “I think most people want to be left alone to pursue their own dreams,” he says. “They expect government to perform certain core functions, and get uneasy when it tries to do too much. I want to help rein in Olympia’s habit of biting off more than it can chew.”
Allen lives just outside the Lynnwood city limits in unincorporated Snohomish County with his wife of fifteen years, Amy.
